Termite Inspections and Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) Reports
R&R offers annual thorough termite inspections of your property to identify if there is any existing termite activity, assess the severity of the infestation and identify conducive conditions. If you are about to purchase a home it is strongly encouraged to have a Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) inspection. We are associate members of the Kerrville Board of Realtors and have preformed hundreds of WDI inspectiosn for real estate transactions in the Texas Hill Country.
Liquid Non-repellent Applications
Many times situations dictate that a termite treatment using non-repellent liquid products be applied. Over the years with the advancement of technology of non-repellent products and application methods effective termite control can be obtained.
Non-repellent simply means that termites cannot detect the treatment zone and go about their routines without knowledge they are now “carriers” transferring the active ingredient like a “virus” eliminating the colony. Non-repellent applications have a defined warranty period ranging from 1 to 7 years depending on application methods and severity of infestation.
In ground termite systems
Exterra Termite Bait Systems is the next generation of termite baiting, providing superior technology, performance and reliability. Exterra is the number one baiting system in the world. Exterra is also environmentally responsible solution due to it using very little active ingredient to eliminate an entire termite colony. It poses no hazard to groundwater and has no label restriction for use around wells or cisterns.
R&R installs the Exterra stations around the perimeter of your home which are buried discretely in the soil and contain a cellulose material that termites have shown to prefer dramatically over regular wood. Our technicians service and maintain the stations on a routine basis.
Once termite activity is detected in the station, active ingredient cartridges are loaded in the station. As the termites feed from this station and bring the “food” back to the colony they are “infecting” the rest of the colony with the active ingredient. This “virus spreading” effect results in the elimination of the entire termite colony preventing future termite damage. The Exterra system serviced by R &R Pest.
